Alakshi brings to Value for Women 12 years of experience in developing and implementing sustainable solutions, with a specific focus on women's empowerment. Alakshi has established organizations focused on menstrual health and entrepreneurship, investing in innovative, impactful solutions. Within her first venture Trucup, she operated at the intersection of gender, education, sustainability, and sexual & reproductive health across India and Singapore, challenging taboos through workshops and creating a unique menstrual cup design. As the founding member of the startup studio build3, Alakshi’s goal was to actively support and invest in the growth journey of early-stage impact startups that align with the studio's mission to better the mind, body, and the earth.
Previously, Alakshi worked with Accenture, where she focused on building capabilities and hiring talent. Transitioning from the corporate realm, she delved into leadership development in government while working with the Piramal Foundation. She also collaborated closely with government schools and Mumbai slum communities as a Gandhi Fellow. In these roles, Alakshi aimed to enhance student learning outcomes by supporting headmasters, teachers and government officials to manage schools better. She brings creativity and conscientiousness to her work, leveraging the power of entrepreneurship and communities to drive positive change.
