Outi Haapaniemi

Outi leads the operational day-to-day financial activities of the international Value For Women team, including project tracking and budgets; controlling monthly financial and project reporting, invoicing and billing; and accounting. She also assists in contracting processes, information management and onboarding of new team members. She has worked on projects with partners that include small and medium enterprises, investors and financial institutions across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Pacific.

Prior to joining Value For Women, Outi worked in multiple roles in accounting and finance spanning more than 15 years. These include the role of auditor at KPMG, accountant for a small and medium enterprise portfolio, and a receivables controller, as well as adeptly delivering on multiple administrative roles. She spent the majority of her career in Finland, and has also lived and worked in Denmark, the United Kingdom, Australia, Spain and Mexico.

Outi holds a master’s degree in Economics, Auditing, Finance and Accounting from the University of Eastern Finland.
